This flyer's purpose is to
seek out more donators for the Sponsor the Potential program, specifically
targetting corporate workplaces. The flyer starts off with a colloquialism
existing amongst city employees and includes the case study of Jill in hopes of
'pulling' the audience in for donations. The reader may be in passing and not
have enough time to stop and read thoroughly, therefore the descriptive
language used will make their decision of donating easier. This flyer could be
placed in office receptions, sent out to employers or e-mailed throughout the
workplace.
We’ve seen first-hand the growing prevalence of
homelessness in Australia; men and women being forced to live on the streets of
our city. The St Vincent de Paul Society has been helping these citizens for
over 70 years. The Matthew Talbot Homeless Services have helped by:
-
Creating the Matthew Talbot hostel and outreach services in the inner city
-
Addressing issues of alcohol and drug abuse
-
Providing the Ozanam Education Centre to end the cycle of domestic violence
Working on unique cases on a daily basis,
Matthew Talbot Homeless Services (MTHS) has assisted many in need by being
there for them every step of the way to independence. From services to
accommodation, education and training, social reconnection, meals, MTHS has
experienced some extraordinary individuals who have been able to turn their
lives around.
Jill, 41, and her two
teenagers were homeless a year ago. They were evicted from their 5 year rented
flat with no explanation and, for the first time, Jill was unable to secure
another tenancy. She was forced to decline an offer from a woman’s refuge
because they could not take her son.
After receiving a
call from Vincentian house, she was in good hands. They were committed to
providing her with housing and keeping her family together. St Vincent’s de
Paul had invested the time and energy to breaking their cycle of homelessness.
There are many stories similar to Jill's.
Matthew Talbot Homeless Services needs the support of your company to maintain
this greatly needed assistance. It would make a larger impact than you think.
Giving the gift of someone’s potential in life would make a world of difference
for their future.
